An evening out at the beach ended with several people being airlifted following a DWI wreck on South Padre Island.
It all happened on Park Road 100 just south of Beach Access 5 around 6:30 p.m. Friday.
Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) state troopers arrested 19-year-old Anthony Rojelio Rodriguez at the scene.
Court records released on Saturday show that state troopers were called to investigate a two-vehicle accident.
Troopers arrived at the scene where they found Rodriguez’s Buick Rendezvous and a 2005 Hyundai Sonata had been involved in an accident.
