2013-12-02 — Police report that on December 1, 2013, at about 9:00 PM, officers from the Temecula Police Department responded to the intersection of Rancho California Rd. and Meadows Parkway in the city of Temecula regarding a report of a two car collision with major injuries.
Upon arrival, officers located two vehicles, a white Toyota truck and a silver Kia which had collided in the intersection. The Kia contained a single female passenger and the Toyota contained 3 passengers. All parties were transported to local hospitals for treatment. The driver of the Kia sustained major injuries.
Initial investigation revealed that the driver of the Toyota failed to stop at the red light and collided with the Kia in the intersection.
The driver of the Toyota, Matthew Ustupski, 21 years old of Temecula, was transported to a local hospital for minor injuries and was ultimately arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol resulting in injuries.
