Nevada Highway Patrol
One man is dead and another is facing a DUI charge after a single-car rollover north of Moapa
The Nevada Highway Patrol reports that they responded to a crash on Glendale/Moapa Road around 1:20 a.m. where a 35-year-old man died and another man was arrested on a DUI charges.
Moapa resident David Lee was pronounced dead on scene after being ejected from a car west of mile marker 18; Lee was not wearing a seatbelt.
Vincent Bushhead, 26, was driving a white 1992 BMW 325 IS coupe eastbound on Glendale/Moapa Road, when the car entered the westbound lanes.
Bushhead, a Moapa resident, overcorrected and lost control of the car, which rotated and ran off the side of the road. The car rolled over and hit an embankment, coming to a stop on its wheels.
Bushhead and a 19-year-old male passenger were transported to University Medical Center.
Bushhead was booked into the Clark County jail on multiple charges, including DUI resulting in death and failure to drive on the right side of the road.
This was the fourth fatal crash investigated by the NHP’s Southern Command this year.
