2013-12-07 — According to the New York State Police on December 7, 2013, at approximately 3:10 AM, the State Police in Rochester investigated a 1 car MVA, on I-490 in the City of Rochester. The vehicle, driven by Jared Schutz, age 20, from Geneseo, NY, drifted off the left shoulder at the I-490 eastbound to I-590 southbound exit ramp.
The vehicle overtuned and struck a tree. Mr. Schutz and his 21yr. old passenger, Kayla Ewing, from Rochester, NY, were extricacted from their vehicle by Rochester & Brighton Fire Departments. Both subjects were transported to Strong Memorial Hospital where the Mr. Schultz was treated for a possible pelvis fracture and and Ms. Ewing was admitted for observation. Mr. Schutz was charged with Driving While Intoxicated, Refusal of a Chemical Test, Speed not Reasonable, Fail to Keep Right, and open container. He is to appear in Rochester City court at a later date.
SP Warsaw – DWAI and possession of Drugs arrest

2013-12-07 — New York State Police report that on Nov. 23, 2013 Warsaw Troopers on patrol stopped a vehicle for erratic operation on Denton Corners Road in the Town of Genesee Falls. After further investigation, and a license check of the operator, troopers arrested SHANNON B. MURCIN, 36 years of age of Castile, NY for Driving While Ability Impaired by Drugs. It is alleged that Mr. MURCIN was under the influence of an unknown drug at the time of the stop. Deputy Michael Bentham (Drug Recognition Expert) from the Wyoming County Sheriff’s Office assisted troopers with the drug evaluation and subsequent arrest.
During an inventory search of the vehicle troopers located a smoking pipe used for crack cocaine, which also contained residue of the drug. MURCIN was additionally charged with the Class A Misdemeanor of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th. He was also issued tickets for the traffic infractions of Moving from Lane Unsafely, Aggravated Unlicensed Operation and Illegal tires. Following processing for the charges at the Warsaw Barracks MURCIN was arraigned on the charges before the Town of Genesee Falls Town Justice. After arraignment MURCIN was remanded to the Wyoming County Jail in lieu of $5000.00 bail. He will reappear at a later date to further answer the charges.
SP Warsaw – DWI Arrest

New York State Police report that on Nov. 17, 2013 Warsaw Troopers on patrol observed several traffic violations and stopped the vehicle on Sanders Hill Road in the Town of Sheldon. Further investigation and roadside sobriety tests would lead to the arrest of the operator, JACK E. CROW, 55 years of age of Holland, NY for Driving While Intoxicated and Aggravated Unlicensed Operation 2nd .
It is alleged that at the time of the traffic stop CROW was under the influence of an alcoholic beverage and also had a currently suspended NYS license due to unresolved prior traffic tickets. While being taken into custody troopers found a small amount of suspected marihuana on the person of Mr. CROW and he was additionally charged with Unlawful Possession of the Drug. He was processed for all the charges and, with the assistance of the Warsaw Police Department, he submitted to a breath test which resulted in a BAC of .11%. He was later released on appearance tickets for all of the charges which are returnable in the Sheldon Town Court at a later date.
Bugyi was bugging everyone with his loud muffler; added DWAI charge to his record
After a loud muffler stop on Military Road in the Town of Lewiston, State Police arrested the operator. 29 year old Brian Bugyi, of Niagara Falls for operation a motor vehicle while ability impaired due to drugs.While speaking with Bugyi, Troopers noted evidence of drug use and began standard field sobriety testing and determined that his ability was impaired due to the use of marijuana. A burnt marijuana cigar and a plastic baggie of marijuana were found during a subsequent search of the vehicle.Brian Bugyi was issued appearance tickets for the loud muffler, unlawful possession of marijuana both violations, and the misdemeanor of driving while ability impaired drugs. Bugyi is scheduled to appear in the Town of Lewiston Court on January 15, 2014 at 5:30 PM.

2013-12-07 — Police report that on December 3rd, at about 4:45 PM a Clarence Trooper stopped a black Jeep Wrangler on County Rd. in the Town of Clarence for speeding. The operator identified as Daniel E Krebs age 44 of Oakwood Dr in Pendelton showed signs of intoxication and failed roadside sobriety tests. Mr. Krebs was placed under arrest for DWI and he submitted a voluntary breath sample for testing. The breath test revealed a Blood Alcohol Concentration (BAC) .19% and Mr. Krebs was subsequently charged with Aggravated DWI (BAC >.18%). He was issued traffic tickets to appear in the Town of Clarence Court on a later date.
On December 3rd, 2013, Trooper DAVID WESOLOWSKI arrested TIMOTHY MATTESON, 54, of Lakewood, for Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated. MATTESON was pulled over on Salisbury Road in Gerry for driving erratically, and after failing several field sobriety tests, MATTESON was placed under arrest. MATTESON was transported to the State Police barracks in Jamestown where he provided a breath sample of .19. MATTESON was then processed, issued tickets returnable to the Town of Gerry Court, and released to a sober individual.
On 12/01/13 at approximately 2:20 a.m. Trooper Jeremy Lewandowski arrested John. J. Haettich, 72, of Arcade, NY for DWI. Haettich was discovered to be intoxicated and was arrested after being stopped for a traffic infraction on State Route 98 in the Town of Arcade. During processing he was found to have a blood alcohol content of .12%. He is to answer the charge before the Town of Arcade Court at a later date
Sp Olean Troopers arrest Jon Havers, 43 of Olean for Driving While Intoxicated pursuant to a traffic stop on Dan Eaton Drive in the Town of Allegany. Havers to appear in the Town of Allegany court on 12/16/2013.
